Terms
Terms for ordering
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you order from a restaurant through a DreamOrder ordering page. They are written to be short and plain.
1. Who you are buying from
DreamOrder is ordering technology provided by DocDream. When you place an order, your contract for the food and any delivery is with the restaurant named on the order page (its legal company name is shown at the bottom of that page). The restaurant prepares, sells and, where offered, delivers your order and is responsible for it.
2. Prices and fees
Prices include VAT. Any delivery fee for your postcode and any minimum order are shown before you pay, and the total you see at checkout is the total you pay. Prices and availability are set by the restaurant and can change.
3. Placing and accepting an order
Your order is a request to the restaurant. It is accepted when the restaurant confirms it. A restaurant may decline or cancel an order – for example if an item is unavailable, it is too busy or it cannot deliver to your address – and any card payment for a cancelled order is refunded in full.
4. Payment
Card payments are handled by Stripe. DreamOrder and the restaurant never see your full card number. Where the restaurant offers it, you may instead pay on collection or on delivery.
5. Collection and delivery times
Times shown are estimates and may be longer when the kitchen is busy. Delivery is only available to the postcode areas the restaurant lists. Please make sure your address and phone number are correct.
6. Allergies and dietary needs
Allergen information is provided by the restaurant for each dish where available. If you have an allergy or intolerance, write it in the allergy box and, if it is serious, call the restaurant before ordering. See our allergen page for more.
7. Cancellations, problems and refunds
Because food is freshly prepared and perishable, the 14-day cancellation period for online purchases does not apply once the restaurant has accepted your order. If something is missing, wrong or not of satisfactory quality, contact the restaurant straight away; your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. Refunds are made by the restaurant to the original payment method.
8. Age-restricted products
If an order contains age-restricted products, the restaurant may ask for proof of age on collection or delivery and may refuse to hand them over.
9. Using the ordering page
Please do not misuse the service – for example by placing false orders or trying to disrupt the site. We may block abusive use to protect restaurants and other customers.
10. Our responsibility
DocDream provides the ordering technology and works to keep it available and secure, but it does not prepare, sell or deliver food. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Complaints and contact
For anything about your food or delivery, contact the restaurant first – its phone number is on its order page. For problems with the ordering page itself, e-mail info@docdream.co.uk.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
